While it is always tempting to go with the lowest price, the old adage of “you get what you pay for” holds true with software development and IT services generally.

It is difficult to put a cost on the overhead of managing a project from afar, especially something like software development that is being performed at a remote, even offshore, location.

Time zones, language differences, legal and jurisdictional ambiguity and more would all seem to have a negative impact based on anecdotal evidence.

CIBIS has been asked to complete a number of projects that were initially started offshore, but for many reasons proved problematic for the client. In the end they came to CIBIS and we successfully completed all projects.

Overwhelmingly, our clients said they appreciated being able to talk to the relevant person on the phone, when they needed to. Even more important was the rapport that developed between the client, their account manager at CIBIS, and the technical team involved.

Being able to have a face to face meeting with the people involved gave a level of assurance and concrete results that just do not come from a faint voice on the phone or what looks like a boiler-plate email response being the only point of contact.
